Notes

LR out at Waterfall Glen. Met a solid group of Frintner, Anneliese, Richard, Julia, Lapp, and special guests Kelch+Maddie. Ran as a big group for 2ish, then split off with Richard and Kev. Had a nice, relaxing first loop. Could tell Richie was itching to go faster due to his three-stepping, but kept us at a more gradual acceleration with a long way to go. Reminisced about 2011 xc before Lapp turned off around 10. For the rest of the way, Richard was trying really hard to get me to drop the hammer with him, but I was happy cruising at 6:15-6:20 and he wouldn't go by himself. Eventually he succumbed and ran even with me instead of two-steps ahead. Felt great pretty much the whole time. Tired by the end, but had plenty left in the tank.

Another beautiful day out there. Can feel that fall weather coming in, and I'm loving it.

Statics and a Juicy-o brunch with young(er) talent

Right achilles has been bugging me at the insertion point of my heel. Has been tight for a while, and fairly noticeable the last few days, so making a note here. Seems like I've got a handle on it with calf/soleius rolling and bringing out the flat ground eccentric heel drops, so not concerned with this being too big an issue. Hoping to be able to continue training as normal as I work through this, but may scale things back a bit if we don't get better (lol saying this on the log of my longest LR in several years).

2011 was the end of an era--last time we swept JV conference. The NSC actually has its shit together these days
