Leg A-5 The Dagon Slayer Run

In short: A brain baker

Scenery: 5; Difficulty: 7-8

Leg A-5: 3.5 miles

First GLR leg of 2019! Got a pretty easy one to start, this was 3 miles straight north up Dagon (Dragon) road, then a right and a half mile straight. Was running with Thea and Julia on this, but got the hand-off first and didn't see either of them at all. In fact, I didn't see another runner this entire run.

Got the hand-off from Cobert after he didn't fall into the ditch at the end of the leg. Took off down the road. Tried to settle in and establish a good rhythm. Ran my first mile quick off of GLR adrenaline, but reigned it in knowing the big one was later. Road turned to dirt at about 1.5, which slowed me down. Some pretty good rolling hills throughout, but nothing too crazy. Was hella humid out there, but not hot yet, which I was thankful for. Handed to Zach feeling like I got done what I wanted to here.
