2K @ Threshold, 7 x 1K @ 8-10kP (90"), 4 x 400m (2')

Decent workout this afternoon. Went to Volkening Park down the road to knock out some k's. Don't really know what any of my race paces are, so was hoping to hit 3:15s and feel fairly easy. I figured that would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10kP. Pacing was pretty bad for a lot of these. First 400 or so was with the wind, while the next 400 was into it. Kept going out too hard and letting up a lot into the wind. Goal was 6-8 K's. Stopped at 7 due to needing to use the bathroom, but could have ran the 8th. In general, stomach was bugging me the whole time. Felt full and gassy and felt like that held me back. 400s were solid. Felt like I was running fairly hard and legs were hurting by the end.

During the workout I was a little frustrated with the splits I was hitting. Per my watch though, the stretch I was running was ~30m long, so if true then I was running right around where I'd planned. Regardless though, gave a good effort today, which is the important thing.

Whole right calf was pretty tight during this. Seemed like some discomfort settled in right at the top of my achilles during all the walking/standing. Didn't hurt while running the intervals though.
