Eeek. This didn't go as planned, at all. The plan was to run 11 miles total, with 6 1200 meter sprints. My legs are still very sore from the race, and I have some deep muscle pain in my upper right quadricep. My pace is faster than yesterday's, but I'm not easing through the miles. When I realized that I had gone a bit too far in the back neighborhoods and my total distance including the sprints would exceed 11 miles, I started my first sprint as I headed to the track. Unfortunately, I couldn't get much faster than a 7:00 pace for that 1200 meters. When I arrived at the track, the high school students were training on it. So I could not use it. I think this was a good thing, forcing me to skip the sprints. I decided to ditch the plan and headed back to Dow Jones. I need more rest.
