Notes

I was really unsure about this race. Didn't think my training was good enough to run under 4 hours but decided to give it a try. Tried for consistent 9 min pace for as many miles as I could stand. Slowed down the last 3 miles but not terribly. Last mile is just a bitch. But this is where those of us who run in Howard County have an advantage. Hills are meant to be conquered and conquer it I did. Passed several people who were Boo Hooing on the hill.

I'm calling this a very good effort and result. Thanks to Chris, Greg, Faye, Debbie, Audrey, Zombies, 5 am Donnie crew and many others for a good year of training runs. I couldn't succeed at this without them.

My Garmin was spot on. I ended up with 26.28 on this one. Mile markers were absolutely bizarre on their locations. One more interesting fact. I went 1:58 1st half and 1:57 2nd half. Almost the same but actually a negative split even with the stink hill at the end.

Well done Dwight. Great time!

What amazingly consistent splits! Nice job. NCR is suckadocious in my opinion and I cannot believe you didn't lose focus until mile 21--and THEN you got it back again. Well done!

Terrific job Dwight! Now, find me the definition of suckadocious, in any acceptable dictionary. Excellent effort!

Fantastic even pacing and a bonus negative split. Well done.
