Bite me. This is a tough race in August over curbs, sidewalks, grass, through woods, roots, sunny geese crap fields. I passed Dave Walser right at the beginning and didn't check on his whereabouts until about mile 4. I could still see him so no way to take it easy the last mile. Around mile 3, you are in the woods and do 2 nasty root uphills. Takes your pace down to a crawl. It was hot but they have Rita's Italian ice after the race!
Really nice time with Chris who wasn't feeling great yesterday but spent the whole race just passing and whipping people. Bill A. had a good "comeback" race as this was a longer one than normal and not an easy one. We did DD after and life is good.
Oh, yea, double bite me. John Chall shows up. He is in my AG. He is fast, I am not. F* him. Very nice guy, just don't want to see him at races. I passed Marc Burger somewhere around mile 3.5 after the uphills. Sweet.
