Notes

Congratulations to my BRF Chris who persevered under truly bad conditions. She put together the Hanson plan that we followed for weeks and had a very good day. Thank you to my BFF Greg for the company up and back and for being a no fuss, no muss roommate. We had a great time listening to Deep Tracks, The 60s and all kinds of music for 8 hours.

The race was one of my worst but the Steamtown experience with friends is something that I cherish. Thanks to all my favorites who ran with me or supported me throughout a tough schedule, Marsha, Faye, Frank, Larry, Bill, LL, Debbie C., Audrey, Judith, Hafiz, JB, Art, Matt, Amanda, Christine M, and many others.

I'm limited in words to describe my disappointment. The result today was not a result that I trained for and not one I expected.

Recovering Rev.

It was a tough day. I wish you had better results because you trained well.

Any normal weather day and this marathon was yours for the taking. On the good news front, you’ve reached Elite status—knowing when to pull it—just like Ryan Hall.

Another marathon under your belt is a good thing!!! Now, it's on to a fun time pacing at Baltimore.

I agree with Chris, you knew it wasn't going to be "your day". You trained fabulously and under reasonable weather conditions a huge PR would be in your favor!

I know this feeling all too well -- to train hard only to get a hot day. It's very frustrating. But before you know it you'll be training for your next race and ready to do it again, with just as much commitment as this one. But, this time.. an almost guaranteed cool weather marathon. Glad you had a fun weekend.
