SIMULATED 10k RACE - Success! All the while I was hung over from my b-day gathering the night before...
Warmed up first mile at about 8:00. Then kicked into 10k race pace with a very specific goal to break 38:00. Ran a progressive pace - every single mile got faster as I went on.
I finished the 6.21 miles in 37:58, which is in line with my 1:24:30 goal for next weeks 1/2 marathon. This lines up with a 2:58 marathon.
Excellent workout while feeling tired and hung over going in.
