Couldn't run Monday bc I went camping, which was loads of fun. Couldn't run yesterday bc I worked all day. And can't run tomorrow bc I have a double shift. :( but heyyy we got a snazzy new expresso machine so life is 1000000x easier now

On the bright side, I had a nice run today. I haven't heard anything about the whereabouts of the bears in the area so I stayed on hotel property and just did a little 1 mile loop, which just barely goes near the elk area so I was very careful. Bringing bear spray on every run now and I also made a new rule for myself: no earbuds. Only had to stop to walk once when a bison crossed the road right in front of me. It was one of Archibald's friends. I drank chocolate milk and as I was heading out the door I grabbed two reeses for good luck! Felt pretty good and picked it up at the end. Today was payyyydayyy and there was apple pie at dinner whoo hoo!

Alabama factoid: public schools there are even more strict than private schools in Illinois from what I've heard. My friend got in huge trouble for just dying her hair. Also they teach evolution in public schools there, but they barely touch on it and they make it obvious that it's not "correct". My friend said that if a teacher went in depth and taught it like it's taught here they would likely lose their job. Craaaazy. I guess that's why so many Alabamans get out of there and come here to J-stone.

My friend went to University of Alabama for his freshman year. Needless to say, he's not staying there. He told us it's like a different country

Anneliese: that was a great day! Ahh sweet memories

And Muneeb: I don't blame your friend. I don't think I'd last a week in Alabama.
