I started on a weight loss journey April 17, 2007, at 169# I had no energy and no self esteem. After I lost 20 or so pounds I started walking every other day 3 - 4 miles. My weight now is 126 which is a good weight for my 5'5" frame. I started the C25k program in October and completed the program on Jan. 6, 2008. I run at home on my treadmill. My goal now is to increase my duration of my runs to cover 3.1 miles. Now, the 30 minute run takes me about 2.5 miles, sometimes a little more.

For cardiovascular health and the increased self-esteem you get from doing something good for yourself.
|Why I started running:
My daughter is a runner, usually ran 3 - 4 miles a day. I wanted to surprise her running a 10k in June with her of 2008. But instead she surprised me and we are expecting our first grandchild the end of May!!!
