I was put into the first/slowest heat (because of no submitted time perhaps?), so there wasn't much direct competition and I took it out in first at a strong pace. I kept this up for most of the race, definitely working hard but feeling good, but in my last lap I just had trouble finding the mentality to speed up, and I dropped to third place as Andrew Rhode (strong kick and nice win!) and another guy passed. I probably could have finished a few seconds faster in a better scenario, but a PR is a PR.
