Chilly morning, the first one this fall. Didn't put a lot of pressure to perform at top performance but I went out and quickly found myself running with one other guy. By mile 1 I had separated from him and clearly had started to establish 2nd place. I wasn't gaining on the first place runner, went out hard but basically kept the same distance from me.
GPS didn't get the best reading with all the turns. Most people said it was 12.9 - 12.95 however I think mine didn't read as well under the trees, etc.
I really made sure I took all turns close but you had a lot of turns and it made it hard to keep up the pace, the rolling hills in the park were also difficult as you didn't get a chance to use the downhill but the uphills were tough. My best finish in a half marathon, and felt really decent the whole race.
