Early lead, had nearly 100yards by the time the first mile came around, wind at my back. I went out too hard and had to adjust a little bit. Tip: Don't be dumb and go out so fast.
2nd mile I probably did too much adjusting and was a little slow despite having the headwind now. The third mile was sort of a combination of not wanting to kill myself (I DO have a race this coming weekend) and also enjoying being in first place.
Won the race by a good margin (~.2 miles or so), this race was to get my mentally prepped for hard running. Legs were sore the day after so I feel like I'm getting something out of these efforts.
