** I left Garmin on "Run Inside" mode, so it was calculating distance/pace based on my foot strike/cadence, etc. I realized this around mile 3 when it failed to beep at the mile markers I am used to. I ran well past the 7 mile turn-around point, probably more than 0.2 miles past, so I am confident that I ran at least 14.4 miles today. Garmin gave me only 13.9 miles, but it wasn't based on GPS data! Anyhow, after changing my total mileage to 14.4, the avg pace per mile of 8:21 seems much more reasonable given my HR, perceived effort, etc.

I felt sluggish today. I think I've used Gatorade or some other carb source on my last 4 or 5 consecutive runs, and only used water today, so my body was feeling rather weak the entire run. Also, I had the brutal Saturday run (20 w/ 14 MP) and Tuesday/yesterday (5 x 600m @5k pace) leaving me with some residual fatigue. The next 2 days should be nice and easy before another back-to-back session this weekend (10k trial/18 mi LR). Getting near the end, just need to hang on!
