Tried to skate ski as easily as I could, but it is exhausting — much more than classic skiing is for me, for some reason. Anyhow, I started on Evergreen and did the entire outer loop (Island, Timber, Hill, Prairie), trying hard not to over exert myself. But I was truly exhausted after a big loop, about 5.6 miles.
That said, I feel like I’ve gained fitness since just a week ago, when I skied half as far, classic style, but was tired to the point of nausea when I stopped. Seems like progress.
