Long Jog, 8:30 to 8:45 pace. Felt tougher than I expected. I think I use different muscles at this speed, and I haven't used these particular muscles much in the past 14 weeks (i.e., this was a Long Jog, similar to the Moustache Run last fall, where I paced Matt to a 2 hour Half, but my muscles were really sore afterwards -- weird). I'll stick to the plan and continue to do these Long Jogs at 8:45-ish pace. I believe there will be a benefit to it.
Oh yeah, Garmin Connect showed 13.71 miles in 1:58:37.1, but RA uploaded it with the "extra" split added in. Not sure why it's there. One thing to note is that I stopped 4 times at porta johns along the way, stopping my Garmin each time. Perhaps the 0.17 miles is the amount of distance I covered during the cumulative total of these stops? Weird.
