3 “loops” at Baker XC ski, each loop bigger than the last. It snowed while I skied, so it got much slower as I went. It is absolutely exhausting, especially the uphills. YET, my HR is very low ( if accurate), average 97 bpm. That doesn’t make sense to me based on my perceived effort. Maybe because my arms are doing so much of the work? And they are skinny and weak, etc., so it FEELS like I’m dying ... Who knows. I recall that HR charts are different for different sports, so maybe 97 bpm is about right. Anyhow, the Birkie is going to take me about 5 hours based on today’s performance. Yikes!
