15.5 mile Long Aer Run, used Good Treadmill at LTF (found out that it forces you to stop at 90 minutes, which is better than 60, but still not enough to get through today's 2+ hour workout without a reset). HR was pretty steady, creeping up slowly from the low 140's to the high 140's. I slowly increased speed today to 6.9 mph through the end of mile 5, then 7.0 mph through mile 10, then backed off to 6.9, 6.8, and 6.7 mph. HR was definitely elevated in the last 1.5 miles before the cooldown (avg HR jumped up from 145 bpm to 149 bpm, even while speed slowed from 6.8 to 6.7 mph). This must be a point where one set of energy sources are depleted and my body is switching to another source (?). Other signs of going past a certain point are the salt deposits around my calves and ankles, as well as the ammonia smell. I probably did not hydrate as well as I should have -- I had one bottle of water, and one bottle of Gatorade, and I didn't want to drink much Gatorade during the run ... Next time I do a long run, I'll bring 2 bottles of water.
