LMLS, 8 mi O&B, SAM

1 mi w/u, 4 mi at 8.0 mph / 1%, 4 mi at 8.1 mph / 1%, 1 mi c/d.

(Not able to swim due to classes and teams, and SAM wasn’t super hard, so today didn’t seem all that tough.)

Felt easier than last week, despite being 8 miles (vs 7). HR avg was 147, but during the effort portion, it ramped up from 151 to 155 bpm, which is a good range for this workout. Next week, I plan to keep the 8.0/8.1 mph speed, as well as total duration of 60 minutes, but for the last 2 miles, I’ll bump up incline to 1.5% (or 2%), and see where HR ends up. I’d like to keep HR in the mid-150s for the O&B runs, maybe peaking at 160 (“pushing up the LT from below” a la Lydiard).
