LMLS, 8.2 mi easy Fartlek, SAM Easy
Didn't have a plan when I started running, but wanted to do something a bit more challenging than an easy run. I did 3 min/2min cycles of fast/slow, where the slow portions were all at 6 mph, and the fast portions were progressively faster, starting around 8 mph, and doing 9 mph for the last 2. Incline was set around 2% - 4%, so that made it a bit more challenging. Felt stronger as I went. I might do one interval workout Mon or Tues next week, then do a mini-taper for the half next week.
Swam very easily for about 25 min afterwards. Felt like I made good progress on breathing and technique. At an easy cadence, I could breathe every 4th stroke, something I hadn't tried before. Exhaling more completely before breathing in is the key to making this work.Encouraging, but more work to do.
