YES!! Actually ran today (i.e., treadmill, not elliptical or bike), and not just ran, but ran INTERVALS!!
Some pain, but not too bad. I believe I have "piriformis syndrome," and the stretching and strengthening that I've been doing (and will continue to do) should help keep symptoms at bay.
I did 10 x 400m repeats (with 400m jog recoveries at 5 mph). Repeats were at 9.3 mph, with a few at 9.5 mph. The glute pain was mild. My HR got up into the 170+ range, and yet this workout did not feel difficult at all! I had to fight the temptation to do 2 more reps, and/or to do a few faster reps. We'll see how I feel later.
