Very easy jog after taking yesterday off. Yesterday, I had pain in my left hip that made it hurt even when I walked ... in the house! I started off today just shuffling along, gradually easing into it as I warmed up. 9:36 pace in mile 4 at this effort level is somewhat promising, I think. Before the run, I had been up most of the night, unable to sleep. I had some tea around 3:30 or 4:00 am, and my HR was 43 or 44 bpm (I saw a 42 in there while it measured). That's the lowest I've seen in almost a year. I'm hoping that the hip stays pain-free today and that I can do a decent Out-and-Back run tomorrow, with a goal of 10 miles at 145 bpm HR, and whatever pace that turns out to be.
