6x3min on 1min off on the mill at SHS after practice.

First practice of the year was low key with an easy 30 minutes of running and 4 easy strides (strides indoors). Distance group is a little smaller than last year but will be very coachable. Additions of Dennis, Josh, Pitney, Tyler, and 4 freshmen will be great, Kurt and I will try to get Gilooly as well.

Workout was good, went by fairly quickly. Definitely tough but manageable. Started at 5:56 and then worked down to 5:49 which felt fast enough for today. Watch said my heart rate was 180 in the second half of this workout, which seems high. It didn't feel quite that hard. Calves will be a bit sore so I made a point to roll those and hamstrings after. This felt like the right effort for this workout, but 5:20s and 2 more reps feels far away right now.
