Wasn't sure about working out today since my left achilles and right foot have been weird but decided to go for it and see what happens. This is probably my best track workout since some time last spring which is kindof cool, although I feel like I'm training for nothing in particular and am still somehow still feeling a little beaten up. Anyway, decided I would approach this workout with the goal of nailing the 400s and I did that. The 200s were mostly easy, taking a little focus in the second half of the workout. I was tempted to get greedy and do a 5th set but considering how running has felt pretty mediocre lately I didn't. What convinced me was thinking of what I would say as a coach if an athlete asked to add a set in my position and I definitely would say no. I should probably take that approach more often when making training choices for myself. Did a few minutes of cooldown on my own right after then started the team's run with them but turned around once they hit Gulf Street. Beautiful warm day today, maybe a little warmer than I'm used to but I'll take it.
