NE Open XC Championship. This was pretty fun. Ran the first half fairly conservatively, not quite relaxed but not quite hard. First 5k in 17:40 or so. Started pushing more in the second half, 8k in 28:00. Pretty sure I didn't get passed in the second half and I definitely passed a bunch of guys, including HFC and GBTC.
A bit muddy today. I heard the course was a little short, but I'll call it 10k since USATF does. Detour on the course because the bottom of the pre-wilderness hill was flooded, so they had us enter from the other side.
Lots of good runners here, OGTC was blown out of the water. Hopefully next year we can do better, right now I'm feeling like a minute improvement is reasonable given the conditions/semi-serious fall training.
