Notes

5 miles easy, 5 miles of tempo, 6 miles easy. I was pretty happy with how this went despite hoping for 6 miles of tempo when I started. The first 5 miles were very easy and I sometimes had to make an effort to relax the pace. The first mile of tempo was a little tough but I found a groove until about 3.75 when it started getting hard. I told myself that 5 solid miles of tempo was plenty of workout and I would only do 6 if I felt great after 5 and that made it a lot easier to relax and finish up. Took a couple minutes to catch my breath then cooled down super easy. The left achilles held up really well and wasn't bothering me on the cooldown the way it often has in the past which I hope is a really good sign.
