Notes

Ran at the Hale YMCA on the way to work. Struggled a little to get up and out, felt like junk driving in and at the Y. Didn't even warm up because I wasn't feeling like doing anything and just put myself on the treadmill at 9:00 pace to ease into it. Felt pretty good within a few minutes and decided I would do 4-6 x 3min on 1 min off starting around 6:15 per mile and work down. Felt really good so I opted to go for 8 reps and eventually got down to 5:45 pace. I guess this is a lesson that maybe I should force myself to do this more often? Who knows. Running in the morning still sucks but this might have been my best morning run/workout in years.

First time I've done this kind of workout in a while but it felt great. Easing into the pace probably helped too. Next week I might do 4 x mile at 6:00 or something, maybe 2 x 2 mile even. Hopefully I can do it outside.
