Notes

Bad day. Started the run at 7, felt stiff after just waking up but nothing too bad. The plan was 4 mile loop reverse, 3 mi out and back, and 4 mile loop for a total of 14. First loop no real problems, had forgotten my inhaler but I was fine, just a little wheezy in some parts. At about 8 miles, I started to get hungry because I didn't eat anything before leaving. At about 10 miles, my stomach really started hurting; it didn't seem like it was from hunger but I'm guessing it was. Then, at 11, I completely hit a wall and ran out of energy, and jogged back to the house, probably going slower than 8 pace. Ended up two miles shorter than I wanted to run. Most of the run was under 7 but I'll put the pace slow because of that last mile. Really just had to call it, everything felt terrible.

Disappointing day. I had similar hunger and stomach problems last week running on a very empty stomach too, so I'm thinking I need to eat at least a little something first before running, even though I haven't really had this problem in the past. You live and you learn I guess.

Spoke too soon yesterday and a little bit of pain in my foot again. No biggie though, I think...

Hungry dogs run fast...just have 12-16 ounces of water at wake up, maybe carry some jelly beans or twizzler bites with you if you need some energy. Morning long runs on an empty stomach are great for fat metabolism.

Yeah I know morning long runs are good and like I said I've only recently been having trouble with it. I've run hungry plenty of times with no problems but these past couple of times were more pain than anything so I don't know. Anyway I'll keep that in mind.
