Notes

Kept the pace more on the recovery side just to feel out the hammy. Very tight to start, and left Achilles pretty stiff (compensating yesterday?), but got progressively better throughout and not too bad by the end. Definitely better than yesterday so just gonna keep workin and workin on it.

Classic "Achilles...got progressively better". It will start to take longer to warm up. I injured my Achilles last year by compensating for hamstring pain. Don't mess with the Achilles, it's the slowest healing connective tissue in the body.

Yeah I had Achilles problems 3 or 4 years back, wasn't a good time. Always been a little paranoid since. The Achilles warmed up pretty quickly actually, I more meant the hamstring got progressively better. But yeah, definitely being conscious about compensating as little as possible.

Achilles pain 99% of the time is brought on a tight soleus or a tight posterior tibialis (deep calf muscle). Usually consistent soft tissue manipulation will rid the issue, unless it is a pure overuse injury and tendinosis. If it was stiff from overcompensation, work the lower calf and deep calf and it should go away. Chris is right though, don't ignore it!

Noted. It was good today, I did work on it last night too in addition to the hamstring. (Lower calf and deep calf, just like you said! BINGO)
