Notes

Alright you data fiends, do your worst. Just uploaded my first batch of data fresh off my new Garmin 220, let's see if we can agree with it. The watch informed me that I set 1mi, 5K, 10K, and longest run PRs all in the same run! Wow!

Gut feeling is that the GPS is pretty accurate based on the first two miles which are my warmup miles I do all the time. Will report back after analyzing.

Initial test... Using the gear to change distance to 1mi by RA's measurements... spot flipping on!

Second test... Map looks sloppy.

Third test... I would have mapped this run as 12.11, score 1 more for the GPS

Fourth test... A̶c̶c̶o̶r̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶P̶a̶t̶ ̶C̶a̶v̶,̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶ ̶.̶G̶P̶X̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶.̶T̶C̶X̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶c̶r̶e̶p̶a̶n̶c̶y̶ Pat Cav is a FOOL, files are A-OK!

Definitely satisfied with the accuracy. I was worried about this watch because we've seen some wonky results from certain people, but looks good to me.

Oh yeah, and the run... Another cool day but a little wet at times (woohoo 50m water resistance!). Legs felt somewhat flat, not too surprisingly. Otherwise mostly focused on debating whether the GPS seemed accurate.

When I calculated the distance between all of the GPS coordinates in the TCX file I got 11.8 miles. However, the TCX file also reports distance. In this case, your TCX file reported 12.002 miles.

^^^^^^^There was an error in my calculation. The GPX file shows the exact same distance as the TCX file...
