Kansas Mile

Notes

Plan A: Run at the track ~1mi from the hotel - CLOSED for football game

Plan B: Run at the track ~2mi from the hotel in opposite direction as first track - LOCKED for no good reason

Plan C: 1 mi loops in a neighborhood near Track #2

Plan D: Dreadmill

Thank goodness for plan C because I did NOT feel like breaking my no treadmill streak tonight. Neighborhood fit my needs exactly, as I was able to map out a mile loop square with each side being 1/4 mi for splits. Not as good as a track but it was good enough. From plan A to B to C all meant for a 4mi+ warm up though...

Anyway, mini workout to test out the hamstring at a faster pace. Overall, positive! It showed no signs of breaking down as the pace increased, and similarly no getting worse as I ran further. Yeah, shorter workout than the two I had to stop last week, but by the end I was going faster so if I was going to have issues, I expect I still should have seen them here. Good step forward, onto more muscle work again. Looks like we've got a pretty good routine for getting things straightened out. Got a few more days to get ready for Hamilton and on the upswing for sure.

Good, well done, long cool down turned into a long warm up

J_M_L

And that is the fastest youve gone since the injury...good stuff

Paul Malek

Yep, definitely pleased with how things went

J_M_L

Plus length of workout doesnt matter because you felt your hamstring at the beginning of last weeks workouts

Paul Malek

Yeah true but it also only really got intolerable after 6K, but yeah I still agree

Robert LaMarre

Wow i'm impressed you had a plan c already lined up
