Notes

Solid solo run, happy with this one. Pace may not look great but, as usual, hilly route. Tried a fairly new route for the first 7 including a run past CAVANAUGH POND around 4.5 miles. A lot of uphill was in the first half of the run so the second half was a little easier on the legs, although the S Obtuse hill around 11 really kills momentum. Temperature in the low 50s, which was great, though I did get rain on and off. Nothing bad, though.

Was going to go for 105-110, but decided that if I'm going to call myself a distance runner, I need to start hitting 115+ on my long runs, trying for the full 2hrs next week. Longest mapped run today, though one of the bike path runs might have been longer. Felt pretty good today, first day trying the pre-run inhaler as instructed by my doctor. Not sure how much of a difference it made today... I did feel like I was breathing easier on the first half but that could have been a placebo effect. I normally wouldn't expect to see a difference right away but since it is a fast-acting inhaler, an immediate response isn't unlikely. We'll see if that helps soon.

But I digress.

Again, long run today, recovery tomorrow, and maybe fast 5K on Monday.
