Notes

Was tired after the mile, only about an hour rest, so didn't want to kill it. Was actually planning 5:40 then 5:20, but went out in a comfortable-feeling 5:21 so just kind of rolled with it. I could have pushed mile 2 harder, but you know what... I just didn't want to. Had a lot left on the last lap but didn't want to JV kick past the 3rd place guy who was rocking that place the whole time. So I took my 4th place 1 second back of him. 5:21-5:27...I'll take it. Cap'n Mick Nick rocked second.

Mike and I are thinking fresh sub 10 in two weeks, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST

So you barely run any miles for a week complaining about your wittle calves and then you bust out two races for a 12 mile day? Interesting...

Great job Paul...sounds like you're fit. Look what a down week can do! Roll out those calves and recover! 2 weeks from now a 2 mile sounds fun, just be smart with pacing like you were this week. Racing in trainers is not a bad thing during the summer, getting in spikes or flats can be a painful experience when you aren't training for speed!

EASY BUDDY. The low miles were a precaution and an effort to expedite recovery. Decided to do these races last minute for a little fun only because I was feeling good again. PLUS my "barely run" week is still about your normal week soooooo.........

Sounds good Coach, I'll be smart about it. Didn't feel sore the next day so I don't think I pushed too hard.
