Woke up with pretty minimal discomfort in ankle (wasn't the case yesterday) and was pretty happy about it. Went through the day with really no pain to speak of through any normal motions (could still feel some at the extremes of dorsiflexion and plantar flexion but that was only if I was trying to see if I could feel it), so was feeling pretty jacked since again that wasn't the case yesterday. Started the run feeling nothing (woohoo!) and that was really the case for the rest of the run save for a few odd steps here and there (tiny hills, sharp turns). So I'll keep up the therapy but things are looking solid.

Anyway, was pretty jacked about being pretty much pain-free on the first mile, but after that wore off I felt kind of zoned out, clunky, and flat. Decided to throw in an uptempo 4th mile to see if I'd wake up a bit and it seemed to work... 5 was almost as quick with what seemed like much less effort. Over the next 5 I did 10x20s pickups on each half mile, and tried to progress a little as well. Nothing crazy, just getting back into a little quicker stuff. Ended up averaging at marathon pace ;)
