2mi + 4min jog + 2xmile w/ min rest between

coach wanted 2x2mi first 2 at 6:45/mi second two at 6:37. I was falling apart after the third fast mile and took a minute breather and nailed the last mile. Texted Jason after and he wants me to fight through and just miss pace but do the workout as written next time.

Could not sleep the night before. Constipated and thinking about the boys at camp w/ storms, cold and broken zipper sleeping bags. Got 5.5 hours of sleep. Tried melatonin two times (3mg, 6mg) and neither had any effect despite the fact that I usually only use that once per month.

Oddly enough the body felt great at "easy paces" and went quickly to that 8:15-8:30/mi range when it's usually slower but the legs just lacked some pop when I went to do the workout. Besides sleep the other possibility is muscle tension. I failed to read the schedule and thought I was to take Monday off.
