Notes
Hickory Hill / Red Shamrock 6(?? NO ??)km trail race.
Plan was: tempo mile 1 and then pick people off.
Mile 1 was track + flat / slightly downhill and I stayed under control, wow was there some heavy breathing around me, I wanted to ask them if they knew they had to run another 3+ miles.
Mile 2-3 were the big hills, downhills etc and I got passed by 1 person but tracked him back down late while holding back, getting gapped on the uphills and destroying the downs. Passed a lot of people! Caught #1OVF way late on a downhill but she destroyed me on the subsequent flat, only person I didn't hang with and a little upset that I didn't try but to be fair I thought I had a mile left, instead of the .3 that was actually there.
Mile 3+ missed the 150 deg turn, took a 90 deg turn instead and went off course running roughly .25 miles too far (:90-2min) and the course was way way short. Most people had 5k distance (3.15-3.2 mi ).

Official Time: 25:31, 14th place
Non-official time adjusted for wrong turn (conservative, :90) 24:01, 9th place
Executed the plan quite well, but I was running as if I had another .75 to go which was clearly a mistake. as 6km is only 3.7 not 4. Oh well, such are trail races.
