That was tough. Put that race in October and it would be awesome. But, the July is part of the challenge. 76f with dew point of 72. Rain would have been better. Course was great though, whole thing is rolling, almost no flat, but none of the hills were ridiculous.
Weather just sapped the seconds each mile...5:55, 6:00, 6:08, 6:12, etc... Could do nothing about it but hang on and grind. Ran most of it with Brian M. He tried a surge at 7 to catch the 2nd place masters guy we were trailing, but it didn't last and I was back with him by 8.5. Then put a kick of my own with about 0.3 to go, mostly because I just wanted it to be over.
