Well...got my money back anyway. 3rd place behind will sanders and a NHS kid. Race played out as expected - decently quick first mile in 5:19, shitty hills in mile 2, then hang on until the end. Was never pushed and never close enough to chase, so a solo effort all the way. This is just one tough course.
Got a nice five or so mile cool down in with sanders which was probably the best part of the day, just nice to pick his brain on the local race scene and some race strategy stuff.
