About me:
Not much to say... I run... a lot...
Why do I run:
Because I like the challenge. Running is a sport where you get out exactly what you put in. No one gets to take a shortcut on the road to running sucess. In this running world, no one has born talent and we all get equal opportunity. I enjoy seeing the relationship between effort and payoff in my running. As I log my runs each week I see the milage go up, and the time go down. This is why I run.
Why I started running:
Back when I was an unfit and overweight freshmen in high school my buddy dragged me out onto a trail for a run. I spent a good fourty minutes attempting a miserable two miles. The next day after I had woken up, in all sorts of pain with everything aching, he called me again. For a second day he dragged me through a miserable fourty minute two-mile. The process repeated and the next week we moved on to three miles. Over time the pain subsided and the pace became somewhat reasonable. The funny thing is, the week after that, I was the one calling him to go running. That summer I fell in love with running as a hobby and soon decided I needed to take it a step further. I talked with my schools cross country coach and he got me all signed up. Now look at me, three years later. I not that chubby freshmen, but instead a fit senior, and captain of the my high school's XC team. Its fun to look back on my road to sucess and blame my buddy for dragging me out to run.
