Notes

First mile of the season. Went out in a 37 which was slow and never really got moving or found a rhythm. Charlie, JRod, and I all sorta were bunched together waiting for someone to go fast so the others could pace off of them, so it was just a lot of confusion. When I finished I felt more tired than I should have and i just was shocked with how bad it went. I wish I could blame the indoor track, no spikes, no one to pace off of, soreness, hydration, first race, blah blah but it really comes down to the fact that I think I am too scared to be a leader in a race. I need to get used to running with the lead pack, or even taking the lead.

The only bad race is one that you did not learn from. It sounds like you learned a lot from this one. Do you have all your mileage logged from this week? It seems a little low?

I learned and I am hoping that I can correct my mistakes. And yes I should have all my mileage logged. I don't include the strides, cooldown, or warmup in my logs because most of it I just mentally know that I did those each run, each of my weeks is about 7 more miles than what is logged. I also did not run as long as a long run as I should have but I was hurting and did a lot of recovery today.
