I am married with two kids who accept my running but don't really understand why I do it. Though I have been a runner for over 30 years, I never really competed in races until I was over 50. And it was not until I was 55 that I ran my first marathon.
|Why do I run:
I run for fitness, fun, and relaxation. Running provides me outlet to clear my head of all the noise and nonsense. Helps me keep things in perspective.
|Why I started running:
I started in college primarily for fitness and a way to deal with boredom/stress. Funny how things don't really change.
Now I run to compete and challenge myself.
