Notes
I surprised myself by being ten-mile ambitious. Something about seizing the opportunity. Drove to the starting point at the zoo. Lots of snow on the ground still, so I was prepared to scrap the run altogether if the trail didn't look clear. It did look clear, however, and I took off, prepared to make it a 2, 4, 6, or 8 mile run if necessary. At each turnaround point, I didn't, so I must have been feeling pretty good. Of course, after passing the eight-mile turnaround, it's all irrelevant, since there's no choice but to run the remaining distance back to the car.
I dressed appropriately, with the winter running shirt, light workout pants, and headband. The only imperfect apparel was the gloves, which made my hands sweat a lot. No gloves was too little. I'll try to find a lighter pair for the next run.
Saw five other runners during the outing.
