Notes
Met Greg and a couple of his friends. Jeremy was wearing black Vibrams like mine! He said he was looking for a 50 minute race. Liar. He took off at the beginning and clocked a result close to 40. As for me, I tried to maintain the quick and light stride, and didn't feel terrible at any point. Maybe I need to feel terrible to get that elusive PR. In mile 4 a guy passed me and he looked like an AG competitor. He runs hunched over. I don't know how he runs that fast, and I didn't feel like I could come near that pace going up 56th toward Calvert. Coming back, though, I gradually gained on him, and eventually passed him. I continued to push the pace from there on, even going back up Normal. In the home stretch I could see 46:16 tick past on the finish clock. I hate it when that happens. Finished strong and thirsty. Marilyn P said hi after the race. I didn't realize who she was until she got her award. Talked to Greg as well.
