Fun running in huaraches again, this time with the slip-on style tying. Had the cords sort of snug, but not tight. I tried to follow Steven's advice about running silently, with loose knees, but there seemed to be little I could do to make the sandals quieter. I don't think the deer evacuated the county, but they were snickering at a safe distance. The only thing that had any effect was to almost turn the stride into a power walk. Maybe that's what Steven is suggesting.
After the run, new sore on top of my left foot, where the knot rubbed. Right foot has a red mark, but not a full-blown sore. I love running in these, so I hope there's a solution.
