Notes
There was a pretty good rain when the alarm went off at 5:00. I lay there pondering my options for a while, and by 5:10 the rain had abated, so the run was on. Good thing, because I felt great from the start. Hadn't thought about making this a tempo run, but realized it wasn't a bad idea. Had to be wary of mud in the tunnel. The rain started up again at the halfway point, adding to the fun. Then, coming down the dam decline, I decided to run an interval or two, and really gunned it, all the way to the park exit. Backed off, then ran another, shorter one from the first road to the second road. All felt good and fun. Nice, nice run.
Still, hard to believe I can maintain this average pace for 26 miles.
