I felt pretty energetic this morning, no doubt helped by the brisk air. As I ran, I tried to analyze my gait - I'm feeling a slight drag as my left foot hits. Maybe lazy left leg causes this. Thinking about it seems to make it worse, if anything. What makes it better is picking up the pace and not thinking about it. Actually did a bit of a fartlek when I heard a dog chasing me. The owner came out on the porch and called the dog back after a short time.
The entrance to the tunnel under 70th had a barricade indicating a detour south on 70th. I crossed 70th on the surface, and as I went on, saw the 84th St. turnoff was barricaded. I'm guessing construction farther down on that part is why the detour was set up. No barricade to the tunnel coming back the other way, so I went through without a problem.
Nice clear sky with half moon. Big bank of clouds in the north.
