Notes
I dithered over whether to do a long run with shoes, or a short run without. Since it was raining early this morning, that gave me an excuse to delay, and the heat weighted the argument toward a short run. Then I dithered over going around the Bryan lot or actually running down the street. I'm surprising myself that I'm a bit self-conscious about barefoot running. I eventually did the street running, so this is the first run off the track, so to speak (not that Bryan is really a track). The 52nd Street route is significantly rougher. The sidewalks mostly pretty rough, and there is more asphalt running. I didn't go fast or far, because I didn't feel my soles were sufficiently robust. It was a bit painful, even, at times. All that said, I enjoyed the run quite a bit, and was glad to be doing it. Post-run, feet look and feel good.
I'm tired of the shoe-induced pain, particularly on the little toes. Will I ever find a pair that fits right? Leaning even more toward BF.
