I was concerned to do a long run down here, but it worked out. I had a destination in mind which helped, too, I think. Ran down the dike until I found a Nature Preserve. Unfortunately the trails here didn't seem to go anywhere, but at least I got something besides dike running in (Have I mentioned it is crazy flat here? more so than Ankeny). The 6 miles out actually went by fast and I was feeling good enough to get back feeling good.

I'm not sure how I'd define the last couple days of training. It wasn't hard in terms of miles or even fast miles, but it did take some effort to get the miles I did. Maybe the different stresses will be good.
