Notes
Not quite what I was planning for 1 of my first runs back. But I agreed to run with Pollux and Rob (Pollux's high school pal) and they were doing a long run. Thankfully, their current long run was only a 10-mile route and we didn't choose a mountain route because of possible snow. But even a non-mountain route was still 1000ft of elevation gain, much more than I've done in a while (not to mention at altitude).
The first few miles were alright and generally uphill and a difficult stretch every few minutes got me a little concerned on how hard this run would be. A few miles of easier terrain got us through the majority of the run before a couple of steep climbs on quite rocky terrain. The slanted rock made the downhills really sketchy as well. I finished the run with a not-so-happy left leg but felt alright fitness-wise.
