Drew wanted to do a workout to get his legs ready to go for the weekend. I didn't like the idea of a workout 2 days after a long run. I also didn't like the idea of one 3 days before my first race in a while (yes, I basically train like a masters runner now). So I settled for like a 1/2 workout.
After taking the long way to the bike path by way of Mount Mercy/Coe/Downtown, we jumped right into the fast stuff. Drew went a 1/2 mile at 5min pace. I started with him and tried to pinpoint the pace for him with my GPS. Stopped after 90sec. Repeat.
Finished with 30sec at mile maybe.
Some heavier legs to finish the run, hard to say how hard this was. Probably not recovered from the long run either though. Looking forward to this weekend's 3k... I think.
